209 Women was an artist-led project devised by photographer Hilary Wood in 2018. It celebrates 100 years of Women in Parliament by inviting woman photographers to make a portrait of every sitting woman MPs. In 2018 there were 209 women Members in the House of Commons, and 207 took part in the project.

I photographed Dame Louise Ellman, MP for Liverpool, Riverside. The portrait was acquired by the National Portrait Gallery and the Parliamentary Art Collection.
